We are excited to announce the availability of KnowBe4’s enhanced Phish Alert Button for Microsoft 365 with the new User Comments feature!
You already know that the Phish Alert Button (PAB) add-in gives your users the ability to report suspicious emails and empowers your employees to take an active role in managing the problem of phishing and other types of malicious emails.
With this new version of the PAB, you can now enable your users to provide additional information when they report suspicious emails to your incident response (IR) team. The new feedback option gives your IR or Security Operations team more details to help them identify, analyze, and prioritize user-reported messages even faster and can help provide an early warning of phishing attacks targeted at your organization.
How the User Comments Feature for PAB Works:
The enhancement to the PAB for Microsoft 365 is designed to give your end users the option to provide a prioritization status of a reported email along with additional feedback on why the message is thought to be suspicious and should be blocked.
When your users click the PAB to report a message, a pop-up window will appear where they can choose whether the message should be Phish, Spam, or Unknown.
- Phish: Emails sent by cybercriminals to entice users to click on a link or give up personal or sensitive information.
- Spam: Emails that are typically sent from companies trying to sell your users a product or service.
- Unknown: Your users can select this option when they are unsure whether an email is clean and legitimate, a potential threat, or spam.
